The A-Ma Temple in the Barra district of Macau is dedicated to the Chinese sea goddess Mazu. The article calls it one of the oldest temples in Macau, and the infobox gives 1488 as its completion date. It names no architect, client or style.

The temple has six main parts: the Gate Pavilion, the Memorial Arch, the Prayer Hall, the Hall of Benevolence, the Hall of Guanyin and the Zhengjiao Chanlin Buddhist Pavilion. The Hall of Benevolence is the oldest part. A 19th-century painting of the facade by Thomas Allom is reproduced in the article.

The article says the temple is thought to have given the settlement its name. Portuguese sailors asked the name of the landing place and heard a Cantonese term linked to the temple, which later became Macau. The temple joined the Historic Centre of Macau World Heritage Site in 2005.
