300 North LaSalle is a skyscraper on the north bank of the Chicago River in the Near North Side of Chicago. Pickard Chilton designed it for the developer Hines, and construction ran from 2006 to 2009. The tower rises 784 feet (239 meters) to the roof, with 60 stories above ground and three levels of underground parking. It contains about 1.3 million square feet of floor area. Its structural steel was fabricated and erected by Cives Steel Co.
A half-acre sunlit public garden on the river gives direct access to the water. The building is certified LEED Platinum under the Existing Buildings category, the highest rating possible, after earlier earning Gold under Core and Shell.
Hines sold it in 2010 to KBS REIT II, and The Irvine Company bought it in 2014. It houses offices, shops, restaurants and public spaces. The law firm Kirkland and Ellis is its anchor tenant.
