Costas Kondylis designed the tower at 845 United Nations Plaza. The infobox names Daewoo E&C and The Trump Organization as developers, and the body says Donald Trump developed it with partners including Daewoo Corp. Construction ran from 1999 to 2001 and cost about $300 million, after demolition of the 18-story United Engineering Center on the site.
The roof is 861 feet (262 m) by the CTBUH figure, while city Department of Buildings records list 843 feet (257 m). It has 72 constructed floors, but the top floor is numbered 90, because Trump's office set the height at 900 feet and divided by 10. The plan is 77 by 144 feet (23 by 44 m).
Reinforced concrete resists the wind, and the curtain wall is dark, bronze-tinted glass. It holds 376 units. The penthouse on the top two floors, about 20,000 square feet, was priced at $58 million and later split into four units after it failed to sell.
