Santi Domenico e Sisto is a Baroque church in Rome, built at the order of the Dominican Pope Pius V. Construction began in 1569, and a convent for Dominican nuns was begun in 1575. The site earlier held Santa Maria a Magnanapoli, built before the year 1000. Giacomo della Porta made the original plan.
The article gives conflicting end dates, 1663 in the text and 1674 in the infobox. Vincenzo della Greca and his brother Felice built the travertine facade in 1646, and Orazio Torriani added the double staircase in 1654. Bernini designed the high altar in 1649.
It is the university church of the Angelicum, run by the Dominicans. It is closed during the summer break, and visits outside public functions require an appointment.
