Rudkhan Castle was constructed in the Sasanian era, between 224 and 651, as a defense against Arab invaders. The Nizari Isma'ilis rebuilt it in 1096 for use by the Assassins. The article names no architect or style, and it describes the complex as a military fortress with strong fortifications and battlements.
It sits on two peaks, at 2,350 feet (715 m) and 2,200 feet (670 m), and covers 2.6 hectares. The western section, called the Arg, is brick and has two floors, a spring, a pond, a reservoir, a bath and towers. The eastern section, the Qorkhaneh, has two floors, a prison and an emergency door. The article lists twelve entrances for each section, which may be a copying error.
It says the page has multiple issues, so details should be checked against other sources.
