Chandrakant Sompura, with his sons Nikhil and Ashish, designed the temple. A revised design followed in 2020. Larsen & Toubro was the contractor. Work began in March 2020 and groundbreaking was on August 5, 2020. The consecration was on January 22, 2024, and the article dates formal completion to November 25, 2025.
The article calls the style Maru-Gurjara, in the Nagara tradition of northern India. The three-story building rises on a raised platform and has an octagonal sanctum, five mandapas and 366 columns. It uses about 600,000 cubic feet (17,000 m³) of Rajasthan sandstone. The article says no iron or steel was used and that ten thousand copper plates fuse the stone.
The article gives conflicting dimensions: the infobox says 361 feet (110 m) long and 236 feet (72 m) wide, and the text reverses the two. Height is 161 feet (49 m).
