Andrew Bromberg of Aedas designed the residential tower for DAMAC Properties. Meinhardt was the structural engineer and Arabtec the main contractor. It was the third design DAMAC proposed, after versions of 38 and 50 floors. Construction started on April 13, 2007, topped out on December 22, 2009, and was completed on April 17, 2010. It opened on September 27, 2010.

The architectural height is 1,017 feet (310 m), and the top floor is at 947 feet (288.6 m). It has 83 floors and three basement levels, and it is unclear whether the basements are counted within the 83. The floor area is 113,416 m², about 1.22 million square feet, with more than 519 condominiums. The article describes unique curves and a twisting motion as the tower rises.

It stands in Dubai Marina along Al Sufouh Road. The article gives no materials or style, and it was the seventh-tallest residential building in Dubai as of 2022.
