The Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre was completed in February 1944, and its first performance was held on May 12, 1945. The article names no architect. It stands on Lenin Square in central Novosibirsk.

The auditorium is cylindrical, with circular foyers, and the building has ten parts. The main dome is 200 feet (60 meters) wide and 115 feet (35 meters) high. The stage block is 98 feet (30 meters) deep. The big hall seats 1,774, the concert hall 375 and the small hall 150.

A reconstruction took place in 2005. Teodor Currentzis was music director from 2004 to 2010. The article says the theater was the largest in Russia as of 2012, but that claim is marked as needing a citation. It works today as an opera and ballet theater.
