Gustav Peichl, Boris Podrecca and Rudolf Weber designed the tower, the focal point of Millennium City on the Handelskai in Brigittenau. Construction began in 1997 and finished in 1999, timed for the arrival of the third millennium. The article says it rose unusually fast, at about 2½ floors per week.

It is 663 feet (202 m) high with 50 floors. The shape is two interlocking, fully glazed cylinders on a steel composite structure, with about 508,000 square feet (47,200 m²) of gross floor area. The article names no architectural style.

The tower holds offices, a shopping center, restaurants and a multiplex cinema that the article calls the largest in Austria. It says the tower was then the second-tallest building in Austria, a claim that may be out of date. It describes no public observation deck.
