Atkins designed Landmark 81 for Vinhomes, with Arup as structural engineer and Coteccons as main contractor. Groundbreaking was on December 13, 2014, and the tower was completed and opened in 2018. The article says its shape is partly inspired by a bundle of bamboo sticks, a Vietnamese metaphor for strength.

The tower is 1,513 feet (461.2 m) high in the text, while the infobox gives 461.3 m, with 81 floors. It is the tallest building in Vietnam. The lead calls it the second-tallest in Southeast Asia, while the records table lists it as the tallest in Southeast Asia from 2018 to 2021.

The Vincom Center Landmark 81 mall covers 640,000 square feet (59,000 m²) across the lower floors. Apartments occupy floors 6 to 46, and a hotel opened on floors 47 to 71 on September 21, 2022. The SkyView observation deck opened on April 28, 2019, on floors 79 to 81.
