The Iljaz Mirahori Mosque in Korçë, Albania, was built in 1494 and 1495, according to an inscription above the entrance, though the infobox lists 1496 as the completion date. Iljaz bej Mirahori, a Korça-born official under Sultan Bayezid II, founded it and funded the project with five endowed villages. He aimed to turn the small settlement into a Muslim town, which required a Friday mosque and a marketplace. It was reportedly built on the foundations of a church dedicated to Saint Paraskevi.
The Ottoman mosque was the core of a complex that included an imaret, bakery, han, hamam and mekteb. It has a square prayer hall under a single dome, a three-domed entrance porch and finely crafted cloisonné masonry. The ceiling has frescoes, some lost and later restored.
An earthquake in the early 1960s felled the minaret, which was rebuilt after 2006. The mosque has been active since 1991.
