Feldkirch Cathedral stands in the old town of Feldkirch, in Vorarlberg, Austria. The first church on the site probably dates from around 1200, possibly contemporary with the Schattenburg. It became an independent parish church in 1218 and was dedicated to Saint Nicholas in 1287. Fires in 1348, 1396 and 1460 badly damaged the original Romanesque church.
Hans Sturm rebuilt it in the Late Gothic style in 1478, and the northern church tower was completed in 1479. The present choir was built around 1520. The article describes a Late Gothic nave under a gable roof, with a Lady Chapel and a baptismal chapel.
The church became the cathedral of the Diocese of Feldkirch when the diocese was established in 1968. The article calls it the largest Gothic church in Vorarlberg, though that claim is marked as needing a citation.
