Eidsborg Stave Church is a single-nave stave church in Eidsborg, Norway. The article says an unknown architect drew the plans. Older belief dated it to about 1250, but newer research places construction around 1150, and the article favors that date. Charred wood under the church suggests an earlier building on the site.
The nave measures 20.7 by 17.4 feet (6.3 by 5.3 m), and corner pillars carry the roof without interior supports. The walls are wood on a stone base, and the shingle facade dates from the 1970s. A new timber-framed choir was built in 1845.
It is an active Church of Norway parish church that seats about 70. It is automatically protected and stands beside the Vest-Telemark Museum.
