The Church of St. Panteleimon in Thessaloniki dates to the 14th century, with its architecture and decoration placed in the late 13th or early 14th century. The prevailing view links it to the Monastery of the Virgin Peribleptos, founded by Jacob, metropolitan bishop of Thessaloniki from 1295 to 1315. The article names no architect.
It is a Byzantine tetrastyle cross-in-square church with a narthex. A now-destroyed ambulatory once connected two chapels, and very few original wall paintings survive. It became a mosque, though the article gives conflicting dates of about 1500 and 1548.
The current dedication dates from 1912, and the original dedication is disputed. It is an active Greek Orthodox church, inscribed by UNESCO in 1988.
