Barbara Bielecka designed the basilica, which pilgrims' donations funded. The article names no formal client. Groundbreaking was on June 24, 1994, and it was built between 1994 and 2004. The text says Pope John Paul II blessed it in 1999, before completion, and raised the shrine to minor basilica status on February 25, 2005. The infobox lists the style as postmodern and the materials as concrete, steel and brick.

The tower is 464 feet (141.5 m) high, with two viewing platforms. The nave is 394 feet (120 m) long and 253 feet (77 m) wide, and the central dome is 321 feet (98 m) high. The organ has 157 stops and was built from 2002 to 2007.

The article calls it the largest church in Poland and one of the largest in the world, citing no measurement standard. It gives no capacity or visiting hours.
