The infobox lists Emmanouil Vourekas, Kyriakos Kyriakidis and Kostas Sgoutas as the architects. The Christos Lambrakis Hall was designed by Heinrich Keilholz, with its plan later altered by Helias Skourbelos. Theodore Timagenis developed the acoustics, and Christopher Alexander designed the floor. The article calls the style modern and gives no client or materials.

The complex opened on March 20, 1991 with two halls. An International Conference Centre opened in 2004 and brought it to four halls. The Lambrakis Hall holds a Klais pipe organ with 6,080 pipes. The floor covers 8,000 square meters. Capacities for the halls differ between the infobox and the text.

The Megaro Moussikis metro station on Line 3 is just outside, on Vasilissis Sofias Avenue. The article does not name an owner or heritage status.
